Daily Structure and Learning Experience
Each day begins with an Intro Session, where all students gather to identify and express emotions, discuss relevant topics, participate in mindfulness exercises, and set up their day according to their emotional state, learning plan, and school schedule. Following this, students attend classes of their choice, tailored to their personal interests and academic goals.
The day concludes with an Outro Session, a time for individual, paired, or group reflection on the day’s learning experiences. Students engage in debriefing activities to deepen their understanding and assess their learning processes. Additionally, weekly School Meetings provide a platform for students to discuss community issues, share ideas, and develop problem-solving strategies. At the end of the week we have a Gratitude meeting to highlight the things that brought understanding, peace, joy and other valuable experiences.
